We are currently looking to employ an Estimator to assist our team prepare concept, feasibility and detailed estimates of building and commercial construction works. The successful applicant will assist the Estimating team to:

  • Analyse specifications, plans and related technical data to determine time, cost and labour requirements for the project works, tender bids and related commercial contracts.

  • Provide detailed budget estimates based on scopes of works provided by the clients to deliver financially responsible tender submissions.

  • Prepare tender packages to go to subcontractors and suppliers including as necessary, scopes of work, bills of quantities, selected drawings, specifications and other necessary documents.

  • Manage the inputting and maintaining of company databases, including actual cost / estimating unit rates, suppliers and subcontractors etc, to ensure estimates and costings are based on best price, quality and delivery.

  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including project team members, clients, consultants, trade contractors and senior management as required

Skills and experience

  • To be successful in this position you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

  • A working knowledge of building and construction practices

  • Ability to interpret and take off quantities from plans and drawings

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate at all levels

  • A sound knowledge of relevant computer software applications, e.g. Buildsoft, CostEX

We are currently looking to employ an experienced Foreman to effectively manage and control all aspects of our site operations on a diverse range of construction projects. The successful applicant will:

  • Oversee the implementation of all site safety and ensure all procedures are monitored according to the Project Safety Management Plan

  • Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other

  • Schedule and coordinate other site staff (e.g. admin) with priority issues / tasks being identified and actioned

  • Ability to work within live environments and manage onsite stakeholders.

  • Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases

  • Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants

  • Report to the Project Manager on a regular basis and advise of any current or potential issues

Skills and experience

  • To be successful in this position you will need:

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a commercial building Foreman

  • Proven experience managing refurbishment projects up to $2M

  • Experience in the aged care or commercial sectors preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple trades

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and/or

  • Managing relationship with customers, vendors, contractors and other parties, by acting as the central point of contact

  • Managing project team members

  • To supervise, coordinate and program construction activities as per the project documentation and ensure that the completed works comply with the drawings and specifications.

  • Adherence to company policies and procedures particularly WHS, Environmental, Code of conduct and Industrial Relations.

  • To ensure that all current drawings, specifications, records, documentation and site diary that are required for the works are always maintained and accessible on site.

  • To Develop project schedules and budgets.

  • To monitor the progress of project expenditure and take corrective action if required.

  • The timely processing and approval of all supplier and subcontractor invoices and progress claims in accordance with company procedure.

  • Engaging with stakeholders and managing internal, external and third-party relationships

  • Performing quality assurance and risk management

  • Conducting status review meetings with team members and clients

  • Providing reports and documentation on project stage and progress


  • A valid drivers license and white card,

  • At least five years experience in the construction industry

  • At least three years experience in a project management role

  • Experience in vendor sourcing and management

  • Knowledge of industry standards in both information technology and project management

  • High level of competence in using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Endeavour project management software

  • Solid stakeholder management skills with a consultative approach to engaging with clients

  • Ability to manage projects of up to 12 months duration, and up to $25 million revenue, with multiple suppliers
